Portalcipation
This VR game was made for a client, Axtion. They wanted us to make a VR game for children who have been diagnosed with autism. The game needed to be played on a bike that is connected to the computer. The input from the bike will be used to cycle in the game.
My main task for this project was the world generation and the portals. Because we are in VR, using a RenderTexture would result in the portal feeling 2D. I made a custom stencil shader to have control over what is rendered in which world. The current world will be rendered on the outside of the portal and the portal world will be rendered inside the portal. The portals feel real because of the custom shader and will make you want to step through it.
